IMG_0031I have few words but save them for you my beloved! I remember telling you, “I would not be alive if not for you!” without hesitation you said it was God not you. Another time I said I cannot go on but you gave me Gods promise and told me Gods not done with us, we are a team! That has always been you, Giving God glory and never giving up. We are a team, faith and fight! I marvel at how selfless and giving you are. No matter the challenges you face whether it’s our kids, finances, needs of others or health you always find a way to pour yourself out and help someone else! You never seek recognition or honor but continually lay your life down and serve others. How blessed and undeserving I am to be called “your husband”. Not only on this earth but in the ages to come I hope I would be granted the privilege of washing your feet! I LOVE YOU! YOUR LOVING HUSBAND scott. 1/20/2011

Walking Through The Valley:The Scott Brodie Story on DVD

Be inspired to find hope, peace, perspective and promise in Christ

…no matter what you are facing!

He went from being a happy, healthy athletic husband and father of four to a man given a death sentence in a doctor’s office. His world turned upside down in a matter of moments. Would Lou Gehrig’s disease defeat him or did God have something else in mind?

Although we are awaiting the final edit of this moving interview with Scott Brodie and his wife Glennis, I can no longer wait to share this amazing story with you! No matter what trial you are facing today – frustration with your job, trouble in your marriage, financial challenges, job loss, illness, children addicted to drugs – Scott and Glennis’ story will give you hope!

“I told God I would rather die and go home to heaven – I was tired of fighting.” Scott Brodie was weary and depressed. Years earlier as a young man, Scott was an accomplished athlete.

His life really seemed to be taking off…especially after marrying Glennis, an aerobics instructor at the gym where they both worked. But soon after, Scott and Glennis and their four children faced something they never could have imagined …

Diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), Scott was given just two to five years to live. For over 13 years Scott has maintained his faith and joy in Christ while walking through the valley of the shadow of death.

Yielded fully to God’s control, Scott has received peace and strength through God’s promises. As with Abraham, God has enabled Scott to hope in Him when circumstances contradict all hope. Walking Through the Valley presents the moving life story of Scott Brodie…

Be inspired to find hope, contentment and promise in Christ – no matter what you are facing!

25th Anniversary

Scott & Glennis at Altar3-compressed

Glennis and I  just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary! We were married in Steilacoom, Washington on September 1st, 1984. We  made our wedding vows at this time “in sickness and in health.”

My devoted wife has kept her vows to me and before God as being sacred. Glennis has sacrificed many of her own needs so that she could attend to mine as well as to our families, home and business needs.S & G hands on Bible2-Wedding She is a beautiful illustration of the “bride of Christ” who has set her affections on the things of God. I am very humbled by her willingness to go beyond her own strength and to allow “Christ in her” to minister supernatural love and life to me and anyone else that she touches. Through our faith and love for each other, we have been strengthened in our marriage. As one, we have overcome discouragement and despair, with hope and opportunity. We see each day as a new beginning and a blessing from God. Together we know that through the power of love anything is possible.

Birthday Promise 1986

I enlarged and framed this same picture of Scott riding a horse in eastern washington, 1986. I gave it to him on his birthday.  We had just been married for 2 years, and ten years before  muscle wasting became noticeable. On the picture I wrote the verse from Proverbs 3:1-2 “My son,  do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you”. We look at this gift as a promise for a future time, we recieve and appreciate the ways God has prepared us and the words have become an anchor to our souls.
